Globtech (Food Division)

Our food division for Globtech is located at 108 Raja Basanta Roy Road. It’s right near Desapriya Park and the Sarat Bose Road Post Office. This part of the city is always crowded and noisy. We are in an old building that has a lot of character, though the stairs are a bit steep. We deal with different kinds of food products and sourcing. The office is usually a mess of samples and catalogs. We spend our time talking to suppliers and trying to find the quality we need. It’s a lot of arguing over prices and delivery dates. We drink a lot of tea while we work. The fan overhead clicks constantly, but you stop noticing after a while. It’s a busy neighborhood, so there is always something going on outside the window. We don't have a big fancy showroom. If someone wants to see what we have, we just pull it out of a box. It’s a very hands-on way of doing business. We’ve been in this location for quite a few years now. The postman knows us well because of all the mail we get. We just try to keep up with the orders and make sure the suppliers are doing what they said they would. It’s a lot of follow-up work. We are just a small group of people trying to make the food division work in a big city. It’s chaotic sometimes but we wouldn't have it any other way.
