Global Trading Corporation

If you look for Marshall House on Netaji Subhas Road, you'll find us at number 859. It is a big old building, and sometimes the elevators take forever, so we just walk up the stairs. Global Trading Corporation isn't some high-tech startup. We are just a group of people working out of room 859. The walls are a bit yellow from the old paint, and we have calendars from three years ago still hanging up because nobody bothered to take them down. Dealing with trade means a lot of waiting around for emails and then suddenly having to rush everything at once. We trade all sorts of stuff, and the variety keeps things from getting too boring. The neighborhood is always loud with people shouting and horns honking, but you get used to it after a week. We eat our lunch at our desks most days, usually something brought from home in a steel tiffin. We don't have a big corporate philosophy or anything. We just try to make sure the orders are filled and the accounts are mostly accurate. It gets humid in the summer, and the ceiling fans just push the warm air around, but we keep working. Netaji Subhas Road is a tough place to work if you like quiet, but we like being in the middle of all the action. It feels like real work is actually happening in these old hallways.
