Ghosh Dostidar Engineering Works

You will find Ghosh Dostidar Engineering Works on Vidyasagar Road, which is in the Regent Estate area, near the Netaji Nagar police station. Our workshop is a place where there is usually some noise from tools or machines running. We have been doing engineering work here for a long time. It is not a clean or quiet office; there is usually some grease on the benches and metal shavings on the floor, but that is how a real workshop should be. We take on various repair jobs and small fabrication tasks that people in the neighborhood bring to us. Sometimes it is a broken gate, and other times it is a part for a machine that someone can't find anywhere else. We have a couple of old machines that still work better than the new ones if you know how to handle them. The street outside can be quite busy with rickshaws and people going to the market, but we just focus on whatever is on the workbench that day. We don't have a marketing department or a salesperson. People find us because they know we can fix things or make what they need. It is hard work and our hands are rarely clean, but there is a lot of satisfaction in finishing a job properly. We have lived and worked in this part of town for decades, so we have seen many changes, but the sound of the workshop remains the same. We just keep the doors open and take the jobs as they come.
