Getwell Pharma

Getwell Pharma has been sitting here on Rashbehari Avenue for quite some time now. We are right across from the Gurudwara, so it is easy to find if you are walking through Kalighat. It gets very crowded on the sidewalk out front, especially during festivals or when the temple is busy. We spend most of our time organizing boxes and checking expiration dates on the shelves. Being at number 28 means we see a lot of people walking by every single day. Some people just pop in to ask for directions while others are regular faces we see every month for their usual tablets. The building is a bit old, but it works for us. We have those tall glass cabinets that we’ve had since the beginning. Sometimes the lights flicker a bit when it rains hard, but we just keep going. It is a family thing mostly. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If someone asks for something specific, we usually know exactly which drawer it is in without looking at the computer. Dealing with medicines is a serious job but we try to keep the atmosphere relaxed. We talk to the neighbors and keep an eye on the street. It is a lively part of the city to work in. There is always something happening outside our door on the avenue. We just keep our heads down and do our jobs.
