1B Bibhuti Bandyopadhyay Sarani is our home base. It’s a busy street and sometimes the noise from the traffic gets a bit loud, but we don't mind. Gapcon Engineering is where we spend most of our waking hours. The office isn't anything special to look at, just some desks, old chairs, and stacks of drawings. We’ve been here for a while now and the neighbors know us by name. Sometimes we go out to the small tea stall on the corner when the afternoon slump hits. People often ask what we actually do here. We usually just tell them we work with machines and parts. It’s regular, honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We don't have a flashy sign outside, so you have to keep an eye out for the building number. Inside, it's mostly the sound of fans and the occasional phone ringing. The air gets a bit stuffy in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open. We aren't trying to impress anyone with fancy talk. We just focus on the engineering tasks at hand. Mistakes happen, so we double-check everything before it goes out. It's just a small group of us trying to make a living and do a decent job. We like the routine of it all. If you drop by, you'll likely find us buried under a pile of blueprints or arguing about a measurement. That’s just how it goes here.
