Fine Flour Mills (P) Ltd.

Our office for Fine Flour Mills is up on the fifth floor of the Swaika Centre. It is at 4A Pollock Street, which is a busy area with a lot of movement. We have been in the flour business for a long time, and while the office is where the paperwork happens, our minds are always on the milling process. There is a lot to keep track of when you are dealing with grain and flour. You have to watch the quality and make sure everything is moving through the system like it should. The building itself is quite old and has a lot of character. We spend a lot of time looking at ledgers and talking to suppliers. Sometimes the dust from the samples gets everywhere, but that is part of the job. It’s not a flashy environment. We have old desks and chairs that have been with us since the start. Everyone here knows each other well, so it feels more like a family than a company sometimes. We don't really bother with big meetings or long speeches. We just get in, see what orders came in from the previous day, and start working. Pollock Street is always loud with carts and trucks, but once you get up to suite 504, it gets a bit quieter. We just keep our heads down and keep the mills running as best as we can. It’s a steady job and it suits us just fine.
