You’ll find us at 153/1 on the 3rd floor of PR Golam Hossain Shah Road in Jadavpur. Being in Jadavpur means there are always students and people around. It’s a place that feels full of ideas. We call ourselves a research foundation, but don't expect big white labs and scientists in coats. It’s more of an office filled with books, journals, and a few computers that have seen better days. We spend a lot of time reading and writing. It’s quiet work, mostly. The 3rd floor gives us a bit of a view of the street trees. Sometimes we just sit and talk about different projects over coffee. We aren't a big institution. It’s just a few of us who really care about looking into things deeply. The building is a bit old, and the stairs are steep. We often have stacks of papers that need to be filed away, but we never seem to get around to the filing part. People who visit us usually have to call first because we don't always hear the door over the sound of the fans. It’s a simple setup. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If you come by, one of us will just pull up a chair for you. It’s a practical place for people who like to think and study. We also have a small balcony where we keep some plants that barely survive.
