Veejay Impex

Up on the 9th floor of India House, things stay pretty busy for us at Veejay Impex. Being at No. 69 Ganesh Chandra Avenue puts us right in the middle of everything in the city. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, but the view from the top is alright when the sky is clear. We’ve been in this office for quite some time now. It’s not a huge place, just a few rooms filled with files and old wooden desks. We spend most of our time answering calls and trying to keep track of shipments coming and going. Ganesh Chandra Avenue is always crowded, so once we get upstairs, it’s a bit quieter, which helps us focus. There’s always someone popping in with a question or a delivery. We keep a kettle going for most of the morning for the staff. It’s just a handful of us working here. We don't use fancy software for everything; a lot of stuff still gets written down in big ledgers by hand. It’s just the way we’ve always done it. Sometimes the air conditioning struggles in the summer heat, but we make do with fans. It’s a solid building, India House, feels like it’s been there forever. We don't spend much on decorating or trying to look modern. We’d rather just focus on the task at hand and get things done properly for everyone who relies on us.
