We’re tucked away at 8A Sen Lane. It’s a narrow little street, so it can be a bit tricky for big trucks to get in or out. Most of the time we just use small carts or carry things by hand to move our clothes around. We do a lot of sewing and finishing work here. The rooms are a bit small and the ceilings are high, but we’ve managed to fit all the machines we need to get the job done. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, especially when all the irons are on and the steam is everywhere. We’ve been in this lane for quite some time now. Everyone around here knows us and we know them. We don't have a big marketing budget or a team of people doing social media posts. It's just us doing what we know how to do every day. Sometimes the stitching takes longer than we thought it would, so we stay a bit late to finish things up. We don't make any big promises about being the fastest in the city. We just work at a steady pace and try not to make mistakes. The floor is made of old stone, and it stays relatively cool in the mornings before the sun hits the building. We keep our supplies in big wooden cupboards that have been here since before I started working. It’s a plain, practical place where we just get on with things. Nothing is for show here.
