Farida Prime & Co.

Farida Prime & Co. is located at 7, Colootola Lane. If you know the area, you know how narrow and crowded these lanes can be. It’s a very old part of the city, and Colootola has a history that goes back a long way. Our building is number 7, and it’s been the base for our work for years. Space is at a premium here, so every inch of our workshop is used for something. We have stacks of goods piled up almost to the ceiling. It’s a noisy, vibrant place to work. You can hear the sounds of the street vendors and the carts going by all day long. We don't have a lot of modern bells and whistles. We use machines that have been with us for decades because they still work just fine. The light in the lane isn't great, so we have big bright bulbs hanging from the rafters. It's a family-style environment here; most of us have known each other forever. We don't spend money on marketing or fancy brochures. People know us by our reputation and the fact that we’ve been at this same spot for so long. Sometimes it’s a struggle to get deliveries in and out because the lane is so thin, but we’ve got a system. It’s just how things are in this part of town. We just keep working hard and staying busy. There is a tea stall nearby where we go twice a day to take a small break.
