You can find Eureka Engineering Works (P) Ltd. at 66/2 Dum Dum Road. If you know the area, you know it’s always crowded and full of life. Our workshop is right there in the mix. We’ve got machines that have been running for a long time, and they still do the job just fine. It’s mostly metalwork we do here—turning, milling, and fixing things that have broken down. The air usually smells like machine oil and cut metal. We don’t have a website or a marketing person. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to this address for years. The building itself is older, and the walls have seen a lot of work go through. We have a small team of guys who really understand how these machines tick. It’s not always easy work, and it can get pretty hot in the summer, but we keep at it. We don't use any fancy scripts when we talk to people. We just tell them what can be done and how long it’ll take. Sometimes we have to hunt for parts that aren't easy to find, which can take some time. We’re not trying to be the biggest shop on Dum Dum Road, just one that keeps its word and gets things fixed. The traffic outside is constant, but once you’re inside the shop, the sound of the lathes usually drowns it out. It’s just us and the iron every day.
