Elmech Engineers

Elmech Engineers operates out of a flat in Kolkata. We are at 131, New Phoolbagan, in Flat No. 1C of the Shirsha Apartment. It’s near the Baghajatin area. It might seem strange for an engineering firm to be in an apartment building, but it works for us. We use the space mostly for the planning and design side of things. It’s much quieter than a factory floor, which helps when we have to focus on drawings or calculations. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so we try not to make too much noise or bother the neighbors. Sometimes we have clients come over, and we just sit in the living room area which we turned into a small office. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who have been in the field for a while. Usually, we are out at different sites across West Bengal, so the office is just a home base. We keep our files and some smaller equipment here. There’s a nice little tea shop just outside the gate where we go when we need a break. Living and working in Kolkata means dealing with the heat and the traffic, but being in Baghajatin makes it a bit more manageable. We aren't a massive company, just a small team of engineers trying to do honest work and keep our clients happy. We take it one day at a time and focus on the technical details.
