Ub Exim Pvt. Ltd. is based on the sixth floor of No. 85 Elliot Road. It’s a fairly high climb if the elevator isn't working, which happens once in a while. From up here, we have a bit of a view of the surrounding rooftops. The office is where we handle all our import and export business. It’s mostly computer work and phone calls. We aren’t a huge corporation with fancy departments. It’s just us sitting at our desks, trying to make sure the shipments go where they are supposed to. We have a lot of files and ledgers around because we like to keep hard copies of things. It feels more secure that way. The office can get a little messy when things are busy, but we usually tidy up on Friday afternoons. We don't spend much time worrying about how the office looks to outsiders because we don't get many walk-in visitors. Most of our contacts are people we talk to remotely. We’ve been at this location for a good while now and we know the area well. There are some good places to grab a quick lunch nearby. We just focus on getting through the daily list of tasks. It’s a steady routine and it works for us. We aren't looking for anything flashy, just a place to do our business properly without any fuss.
