Elecon Garments

Our place, Elecon Garments, is down in Shyampur, near the Narikeldanga Budge area. It’s a bit of a walk from the main stops but we like the spot. We’ve been here in Shyampur for some time now and it feels like home. The building isn’t anything special to look at, just where we make and keep our garments. Most of the time it’s just the sound of the machines and people talking while they work. We don’t really have a big marketing plan or anything. People just find out about us from word of mouth or by walking past the shop. The Narikeldanga area can get a bit crowded on market days but it’s usually quiet enough for us to get things done. We focus on making the clothes and making sure everything is packed right. It gets a little dusty on the road outside sometimes but we keep the inside clean. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to keep the machines running and the orders moving. If you’re ever in the Shyampur area, you might see our sign. We keep things pretty simple. No big meetings or fancy talk, just a lot of sewing and packing. It’s hard work but it’s what we know. We’ve been doing this for a long time and we’re still here every day, making sure we get the work finished before the sun goes down.
