We've been over here on Abdul Hamid Street for a while now. It’s a busy spot, and most days you’ll find the team at Eastman Teft Engineering (P) Ltd. just getting on with things. It isn't a fancy office, but it works for what we do. Engineering is a lot of trial and error, fixing things that don't quite go right the first time, and making sure the parts fit where they are supposed to. People walk by our door every day without noticing us much, which is fine. We aren't here to make a big noise. We just handle the technical stuff and the drawings. Some of us have been working in this field since before the computers took over everything. Now we use them, but the basic ideas are still the same. You need things to be solid. If you come by Abdul Hamid Street, you might see us drinking tea or looking at a stack of papers. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters. It's just us. Sometimes the phones ring too much, and other times it's quiet enough to actually get some thinking done. We don't try to be the biggest company around. We just want to finish the work we started this morning. It’s honest work, even if the office is a bit dusty from all the files we keep. We’ve stayed in this location because it’s easy for everyone to find us when they need a part or a plan looked at.
