A. M. Rasiklal & Co. is located at 26, Netaji Subhas Road. We are quite close to Gupta Mension, which is a well-known landmark around here. The building we are in is quite old and the office has that classic feel to it. We have been operating from this spot for many years now. My father started this and now we are just keeping it going. We deal with wholesale trading of various goods. The office is usually full of papers, ledgers, and the sound of the old ceiling fans. It’s a busy street outside, always packed with people and lorries moving goods. We don't really go in for modern decorations or fancy furniture. We like it the way it is because it feels familiar. Most of our business comes from long-time connections we have made over the decades. We don't really do any advertising. People know our name and they know where to find us on Netaji Subhas Road. We spend a lot of time talking to other traders and making sure our orders are correct. It’s a simple way of doing business, based on trust and a handshake. Sometimes the rain makes the street a mess, but we just carry on. We are not a big corporation, just a family business trying to do things the right way. We close the shutters every evening and head home to our families, then do it all again the next day.
