We are based in a small village called Nadhasuli, which is located in the Midnapore district of West Bengal. Our mailing address is through the Ellaboni post office. Being out here means we are surrounded by a lot of open land and a very different atmosphere than what you would find in a city. Our office is a simple, one-story building. It is not large, but it gives us enough room to manage our projects in the region. We have a few desks and some basic equipment. It is a very quiet place, mostly just the sound of the wind and the birds outside. Most of the people who work here are from the nearby villages. We don't have any formal dress codes or corporate rituals. We just come in, do our work, and head home. The heat can be quite intense in the summer months, and we rely on fans to keep us cool. We spend a lot of time talking to local workers and looking at site progress. There are no fancy signs or marketing posters in our office. It is just a functional space where we keep our records and plan our next steps. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow, so we have to be patient. We like the simple, grounded nature of our workplace. It keeps us close to the actual ground where our projects are happening. It is an honest way to work, without any unnecessary extras.
