Our office is located at 61A in the Ambassador Apartments, right on the ground floor. Being on Park Street means we are in the middle of everything. It’s a famous road, but the apartments themselves are a bit set back from the sidewalk, so it’s not as loud as you might think. Dhanson Engineers & Consultants occupies a space that used to be a regular flat many years ago. You can tell by the way the rooms are shaped and where the bathroom is. We have kept the original layout for the most part. The entrance is right off the ground floor lobby. It's convenient because nobody has to wait for the lift or walk up stairs. Inside, we have desks in the different rooms. It’s a bit cramped because we have so many files and old drawings tucked into every corner and on the shelves. The lighting is a mix of old tubes and some lamps we brought from home to make it brighter. We can hear the footsteps of the people living upstairs sometimes during the day. Park Street is great for food, so we often go out for a quick bite or have something brought in. The building has a bit of a grand name, but inside it’s just a normal workspace. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small plate with the name. It’s a comfortable enough place to spend the day at the desk.
