Desun Hospital & Heart Institute

Our place, Desun Hospital & Heart Institute, is located right at Desun More. It’s easy to find if you are coming from the EM Bypass or walking around Kasba Golpark. The building is large and stands out against the skyline in this part of the city. Every morning, the staff arrives and the whole place starts buzzing. We have a lot of corridors to cover. The walls are mostly a plain off-white color and the air is kept cool because of the machines. We spend a lot of time on our feet, moving from one room to another. You get used to the constant sound of the city outside—the horns from the bypass and the buses stopping at the corner. We keep our personal belongings in small lockers in the back. During the quiet moments, which aren't very often, we might sit in the break room and talk about our families or what we're having for dinner. The lobby is usually full of people sitting on those joined-together plastic chairs. We try to keep things tidy, but with so many people coming through Desun More, it’s a never-ending job. The windows don't open because of the central air, so we don't get much of a breeze, but we can see the weather changing over the bypass. It’s a lot of responsibility being here, but we just take it one hour at a time and try to stay organized.
