Peerless Hospital

This hospital is located at 360 Panchasayar in Kolkata. It’s a pretty large building and there is always something going on. From the moment the doors open in the morning, there is a stream of people coming in from the street. We have various floors and departments, so it can be a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to it. The staff here is usually busy running from one ward to another. We have the usual hospital smells and the sounds of carts being pushed down the hallways. It’s not a quiet place. Kolkata is a busy city and that definitely shows in how many patients we see every day. We spend a lot of time updating charts and making sure the supplies are where they need to be. The lobby is often full of families waiting for news. We try to keep things moving, but medicine doesn't always go fast. It’s a lot of practical work, from checking vitals to handing out medicine. We don’t have much time for small talk, but we know the regulars who come in for their treatments. The building itself has been around for a while and shows its age in some spots. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay organized amidst the constant activity. It is a long day for everyone involved, but that’s the nature of the job. Most of us go home tired but we come back the next day.
