Our place is over at 379, S.N.Roy Road in Kolkata-38. It’s not a huge setup, just a regular office where we handle accounting stuff every day. Most of our time goes into checking ledgers and dealing with the tax portal, which can be a real headache sometimes when it decides to lag. We have a few people working here, mostly local folks who know the neighborhood well. It’s a quiet enough street compared to the main roads, which helps when you need to concentrate on a complicated audit. Sometimes clients drop off their bags of documents and we have to sort through everything. It’s a bit messy at the start of the month, but we get through it. We’ve seen the way the city has changed over the years from this window. The tea stall nearby is where we usually grab a break. There’s no big corporate vibe here. We just answer the phones, reply to emails, and try to keep everyone’s books in order so they don't get in trouble with the authorities. It’s straightforward work. No hidden tricks. If you walk in, you’ll likely see stacks of files on the tables. That’s just how an accountant’s life looks. We’ve been at this for a bit now and we know the drill. We just try to get the filing done before the deadline hits each month. It's a lot of basic math and following the rules.
