Dauttmecq Infratech & Engineers Services is located at 60 Sarat Chatterjee Road in Behala. Behala is a crowded and lively part of the city, and our road is no different. We’ve got our office set up here in an old building that has a lot of character. It’s not one of those glass-and-steel towers you see in the new parts of town. We are engineers, so we spend a lot of our time looking at plans or out on different sites, but this is where we come back to do the paperwork. The room is usually filled with rolls of drawings and some old computers. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but we know exactly where everything is. You can hear the buses and rickshaws outside all day long. Sometimes we have to close the windows to hear each other talk. We don't really bother with marketing or anything like that; we just do our engineering work and let that speak for itself. Most people find us through word of mouth or by seeing the nameplate on the door when they walk down Sarat Chatterjee Road. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for quite a bit. It’s a busy life, trying to balance the technical work with the chaos of the city, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We usually wrap things up late and head out into the Behala traffic, looking forward to doing it all again the next day.
