Das & Prasad Chartered Firm

We are located right in the thick of things at 24/A Rabindra Sarani. If you come by, you have to head up to the 2nd floor and look for Room No. 48. It’s a busy building, always people coming and going. Das & Prasad Chartered Firm has been here through many seasons. The stairs are a bit steep, so it’s a bit of a workout every morning. Our office is a modest space. We have desks cluttered with files because that’s just the nature of being a chartered firm. You can hear the noise from the street downstairs, the horns and the shouting, but you get used to it after a week. We spend our days looking at balance sheets and making sure the GST filings are done on time. It’s repetitive but important. Sometimes we have to stay late when the year is ending. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We’re just accountants who know the local rules and how to get things filed correctly. The tea here is okay, but the work is what keeps us busy. We see a lot of local traders and small business owners from around this part of Kolkata. They just want their accounts handled without any fuss, and that’s what we try to provide. It’s a simple operation, really. Most of the time, it's just about making sure the entries in the ledger match the bank statements. We do our best to keep things orderly.
