C.S.Garments

C.S.Garments is located right on Kali Krishna Tagore Street in Kolkata. We’re up on the 4th floor, which keeps us away from some of the street noise, but it’s still pretty hectic. Prakash Mishra and Praveen Hisaria are the ones you’ll usually find around here. It’s a garment business, so there is always fabric everywhere and people moving around with rolls of cloth. We don't have a showroom or anything fancy like that. It’s mostly just a workspace where we get things done. Kolkata is a big hub for this kind of work, and we’ve been in this spot for a good while. Some days the elevator is acting up, and we have to carry everything up the stairs, which isn't fun but it happens. We deal with a lot of different orders, and some weeks are just chaotic with deadlines. We don’t really do any advertising. People just know where we are or they hear about us through someone else. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking on the tailors and making sure the measurements are right. We try to keep things honest and straightforward without any of that corporate talk. It’s just us in a dusty office surrounded by clothes and boxes. That’s pretty much the whole story of how we operate day in and day out. We just keep our heads down and get the stitching finished.
