Craftoscope Educational & Vocational Training Institute Llp is tucked away on Tegharia Ramkrishna Marg. The address is C/O Debashis Samanta, and finding it is half the story. It’s a residential-feeling area, so it doesn’t feel like you’re walking into a sterile institution. We have a few rooms set up for different types of training, and they’re usually cluttered with tools, papers, and projects that students have left behind. It’s a bit of a lived-in space, which we think makes it more comfortable for people who are here to learn a trade or a skill. We don't have a big marketing team or a glossy brochure. Mostly, people hear about us from someone else in the neighborhood. We spend our mornings setting up the equipment and making sure we have enough supplies for the day’s tasks. There’s a lot of chatter between the staff and the students, and it’s not unusual for a lesson to be interrupted by someone bringing in a tray of tea. The street outside, KOL 157, can get pretty busy with local traffic, so there’s a constant hum of engines and voices. We just keep our heads down and get to work. The walls have some old posters and some hand-drawn diagrams that help explain things. It’s a very hands-on kind of place where we value getting things done over looking fancy or professional. We enjoy the local vibe of the Tegharia area.
