Indian Institute Of Aeronautical Science

The Indian Institute Of Aeronautical Science is located inside Narsingh Bhawan. We are at 268 Canal Street in the Sreebhumi area of Kolkata. If you’ve ever been to Canal Street, you know it can be a very busy stretch of road. Our building, Narsingh Bhawan, is a place where we’ve been established for quite a bit. We are in the 700048 zip code area. The work we do involves a lot of technical stuff related to planes and flying, which is what the name suggests. It's a serious place but also a very local one. We have students and staff coming in and out all day long. Sreebhumi is a well-known neighborhood, so people don’t usually have trouble finding us once they get to Canal Street. The building itself has its own character, not like those modern boxes they build nowadays. We have classrooms and offices set up to handle the training and the administration. It gets a bit loud outside with the traffic, especially during rush hour, but we are used to it by now. We just keep our focus on the books and the technical training. It’s a busy life here at number 268, but we enjoy being part of this community. We don't have anything fancy to say about ourselves. We just provide a place for people to learn about aeronautics. It’s a solid, honest place to work and study every single day for everyone.
