Control Devices

We are tucked away at No. 9A on Hari Pal Lane. If you can’t find us, we’re the ones right behind Scottish Church College. It’s an old part of the city, so the lanes are narrow and full of history. Control Devices is a small shop where we deal with all sorts of electronic components and parts. It’s often a bit cramped inside because we have shelves stacked high with boxes and wires. We spend a lot of time testing things at the workbench. The college students are always walking by, and the local tea stall is just around the corner, which helps on long afternoons. It isn't a modern glass building; it's an old structure that has seen better days, but it works for what we do. We mostly deal with people who know exactly what part they need for a machine or a project. There’s no flashy signage, just a simple board so people know they’re in the right place. Sometimes the rain makes the lane a bit muddy, but that’s just Kolkata. We keep the inventory as organized as possible, but in a small space, things tend to pile up. We like being in this neighborhood. There is a certain rhythm to the day here that you don't find in the newer parts of town. We just keep our heads down and handle the devices that come across our desks.
