You can find us over in Sukantanagar, which is in Sector IV of Salt Lake in Kolkata. The office is at M407, and we share space or are care of A K Biswas. We are Consulting Engineering Services India Pvt Ltd, though we don't really use that full name when we're just talking among ourselves. Salt Lake is a good place to be for this kind of work. It’s mostly engineering and technical stuff that fills our days here. We sit down with plans and try to figure out how to make things work better for the projects we are on. Kolkata has its own unique pace, and we definitely feel that rhythm here in the office. Some days are more chaotic than others, especially when deadlines for projects start creeping up on us out of nowhere. We aren’t a huge operation with hundreds of people. It’s a more personal setup. We know each other well and we know the work inside and out. We deal with a lot of technical documents and blueprints every day. The office isn't anything fancy to look at, just a place with enough light and enough desk space for us to think and draw. We don't really do the whole polished corporate thing. We’d rather just talk about the engineering problems we’re trying to fix. Being in West Bengal, we get all kinds of weather, but we stay busy inside M407 regardless. It's a straightforward life of consulting and engineering. We just show up and do the work.
