Our office is located at East Tentulberia, right by Garia Station Road in the Panchpota area of Kolkata. It's officially Consulting Engineering Services (I) Pvt Ltd. We work out of Tapan Roy Choudhury’s place. It’s a bit of a long address to write down, but once you’re in the neighborhood, it’s not too hard to find. Being near the station means there's always noise and people moving around. We kind of like that energy. Engineering is what keeps us busy from morning until late afternoon. Sometimes we stay later if the work piles up. We aren't a massive firm with glass walls and suits. It's more of a practical setup here. We look at drawings, crunch numbers, and try to make sure everything is structurally sound. Kolkata is a city that keeps you on your toes, and our work here is no different. Most of the people we work with are local, though we do get projects from further out. We've been at this for a while now. The office has that lived-in feel, which we prefer over something too sterile. There are always papers everywhere and the tea guy knows exactly how we like it. We focus on the task at hand and don't worry much about looking fancy. It’s just a regular group of us trying to do good engineering work in this part of town and getting through the daily list.
