You can find the College Of Medicine & Sagore Dutta Hospital at 578 BT Road. It’s a massive place because it’s both a school and a hospital. Since it’s on BT Road, there is always something going on outside—trucks, buses, and lots of people. Because we are a teaching hospital, you’ll see a lot of young students in white coats running around. It can feel a bit crowded and loud at times. The buildings are older, and they have that institutional look that you expect from a place this size. We have many wards and different departments spread out across the campus. It’s not the kind of place where you get a private room with a TV. It’s a busy, working hospital where doctors are learning and patients are being treated all day and night. We have a lot of history at 578 BT Road. The hallways are long and sometimes the queues for the pharmacy or the labs can be quite lengthy. You just have to be patient when you come here. We don't have a fancy lobby or a concierge. It’s a government-run style place, very practical and focused on getting through the volume of people who need help. Everyone from the local area knows the Sagore Dutta name. We are just a big, messy, hard-working institution trying to handle the crowds that come in every single day. It’s a lot of work but it’s what we do.
