City Engineering Testing Lab

This lab is located over on Chatu Babu Lane in Calcutta, specifically up on the third floor. It’s a bit of an old building, but we have all our equipment set up there for testing different materials. Most days involve a lot of checking and re-checking things. It isn't a quiet place because there’s usually some machine running or someone measuring something. We spend a lot of time looking at samples and writing down numbers. The 3rd floor can get quite warm in the summer, but we’re used to it by now. We’ve been here at 2Ch for quite a while, and the neighborhood knows us as the place where the engineers hang out. It’s not a corporate office with fancy carpets. It’s more about concrete and metal and making sure everything is measured right. Sometimes the stairs feel a bit long after a full shift, but that’s just how it is. We handle a lot of different projects, and each one has its own set of rules we have to follow. It’s just honest work, really. We keep our tools clean and try to get the results out as they come. People send us stuff to look at, and we just tell them what the machines say. It’s a practical environment for people who don’t mind getting their hands a bit dirty with dust and samples. We just do the tests as they come in.
