Centre For Skill Development In Tourism

Our office is situated in Patuli Township at Flat No. 404 in the Dakshini Phase-II complex. The building address is I-23/1, and we are up on the 4th floor. It is a residential area, so it feels very different from the usual business districts in Kolkata. We work on skill development specifically for the tourism industry. This involves a lot of reading, planning, and meeting with people who want to work in travel. The office is not very big, and it can feel a bit crowded when we have more than a few people over. We have a small balcony where we sometimes take our phone calls to get some fresh air. The lift works most of the time, but we have gotten used to the stairs just in case. We do not have a big staff or a corporate structure. It is just a handful of us who have spent a lot of time in the tourism sector. We share a few desks and a single printer that sometimes jams. We do not use any fancy marketing language to describe what we do. We just help people understand the travel business better. It is a quiet, steady job in a nice part of Kolkata. We enjoy the local atmosphere of Baishnabghata Patuli and the people who live around here.
