You can find us at 128/1 Basudevpur Road in Shyamnagar. This is part of the 24 Parganas North district. This location is one of the spots for the Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, or CMERI as most people call it. The road out here can be a bit bumpy, and it’s a typical local street with various shops and houses nearby. We have our setup here to focus on different engineering tasks. It’s not a corporate headquarters with glass walls. Instead, it’s a practical building where people actually get their hands dirty. We have some workshop areas and some office space mixed together. The staff here live mostly in the Shyamnagar area, so it’s a local feel. We spend our time looking at mechanical problems and trying to find fixes that actually work. There isn't any fancy marketing going on. We just open up in the morning, do the research, and head home in the evening. Sometimes people from the neighborhood stop by to ask what’s going on, and we tell them it’s just engineering work. The Basudevpur Road area is busy with people going about their business, and we are just another part of that. It’s a straightforward place with a lot of heavy tools and technical papers lying around. We’ve been here for a while and we just keep doing what we do, which is mechanical research. It’s a pretty normal place with regular people working hard.
