The building is older, with high ceilings and those heavy doors you do not see much anymore. It is not a shiny new office park, but it serves us well for what we do. We spend our days dealing with the usual business stuff, sitting under the tube lights and keeping track of everything on our old computers. The road outside is usually packed with cars and people walking to the nearby markets. You can always smell something cooking from the street vendors nearby, which makes us hungry before lunch even starts. We do not have any fancy furniture or a big lobby with a TV. It is just desks, chairs, and a lot of paper. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow, but we manage to get the work finished. We have a small pantry where we make tea several times a day because you cannot work in Kolkata without a good cup of tea. It is a bit dusty sometimes because of the construction nearby, but that is just how it is in this neighborhood. We have been here quite some time and know the local faces. It is a basic, hardworking office where we just focus on the task at hand every single day.
