Canistro Foods & Beverages Private Limited is found at 135/3A, B.B. Ganguli Street. We are up on the second floor. B.B. Ganguli Street is one of those places in Kolkata where there is always something happening. There are shops everywhere and people are constantly moving around. Our office and storage space are a bit cramped because we have to keep a lot of stock on hand. We deal with various food and drink items that need to be tracked and shipped out. Being on the second floor means carrying boxes up and down, which keeps us all in shape. The building is quite old and the stairs are steep. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or checking inventory lists. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, which is just typical for this part of town, so we keep a few torches handy. We are a small group and we’ve worked together for a long time. There isn't much hierarchy here; if a floor needs sweeping, whoever is free does it. We don't have a showroom or anything fancy. It’s just a workplace where we get the job done. The street noise is constant, but you get used to it after a week. It’s just another day of moving boxes and checking orders for us.
