C.A. Srakanta Dutta

This office is tucked away on Sankari Tola Street, right in the heart of Kolkata-14. It’s part of Binayak Roy Choudhury’s place at number 12. Srakanta Dutta has been handling the work here for some time now. It is a humble setup, really. You walk in and see stacks of folders and the usual office things. We don't have a big neon sign or anything like that. Most of the people who come here have been doing so for years. They know the way to the street and which door to knock on. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud, but inside we just focus on the ledgers and the tax papers. It’s the kind of place where things get done without much fuss. We spend a lot of time looking at spreadsheets and making sure the calculations are correct. It’s not flashy work, but it’s important to the people who trust us with their accounts. We’ve lived and worked in this area long enough to know how things go. There is always a lot of paper moving around, especially when deadlines are coming up. We try to keep it organized, though it can get a bit cluttered when we are busy. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation here on Sankari Tola Street. We keep our heads down and do the work that is expected of us, day in and day out, without any drama.
