Our place, C I E M, is in Kolkata, specifically at A1/8 in the Purbasha Housing Estate. This is at 160 Manik Tala Main Road, which is a fairly busy part of the city. Being in a housing estate gives the place a different feel than a central business district. It’s more lived-in and feels like part of the neighborhood. We have been here for a while and the routine is pretty much the same every day. We open up, check what needs to be done, and get to it. Manik Tala is always bustling, so there is plenty of noise and activity outside our doors. We don't have a lot of corporate polish or a fancy interior. It’s just a functional space with desks and chairs and whatever we need to get through the day's work. Sometimes the humidity in Kolkata makes things a bit slow, but we keep the fans going and stay on track. We aren't interested in using big words or trying to sound more important than we are. We are just a local group doing our thing in this part of West Bengal. The housing estate is a landmark for most people around here, so it’s easy to tell people where we are. We appreciate the practicality of this location. It’s not about looking good for visitors; it’s about having a place to sit and work without too much fuss. It is a very normal office in a very normal part of Kolkata.
