We are located in J.D Nagar on Mission Road in Belgharia. It’s quite easy to spot us because we are near Ramkrishna Mission College. Kolkata can be a very busy place, but this part of Belgharia has its own rhythm. We do a lot of consultancy work for civil engineering projects. This means we spend our hours looking at structural designs and making sure the math adds up. It’s not all sitting at a desk, though. We often have to head out to sites to see what the ground looks like or if the concrete is being poured correctly. The office is pretty simple, just some computers and a large table for spreading out big sheets of drawings. It’s often a bit messy with rolls of paper and pens everywhere. We have students from the college occasionally stopping by to ask questions or look for internships. We try to help them out when we can. Working in engineering in an old city like this means dealing with a lot of existing structures and cramped spaces. It’s a bit of a puzzle every time. We don’t use a lot of big words or try to impress people with fancy titles. We just provide the technical help that builders and homeowners need to make sure their projects don't fall down. It’s practical, necessary work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. It's just a regular office doing regular, honest work.
