Block House

You can find us at 285 Rabindra Sarani, right in the heart of the Natun Bazar area. It’s a crowded part of town, and the streets are always packed with people and carts. Our place is tucked away among all the other shops, and it can be easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. We work with blocks here, and the shop is filled with the smell of wood and the sound of tools. It’s been our home for a long time, and the building itself shows its age, but we like it that way. There’s no air conditioning or fancy displays, just shelves and workbenches where the actual labor happens. We spend our days mostly carving or sorting through the materials we need. The light coming in from the street isn’t always the best, so we use a few old lamps to see what we’re doing. Sometimes the traffic outside gets so loud we have to shout to hear each other, but that’s just life on Rabindra Sarani. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People usually just drop by because they know we’ve been here forever. It’s a bit messy with wood shavings and dust everywhere, but we clean up as much as we can before closing. It’s just a small shop doing things the way they’ve always been done. We keep things simple and just keep working at the bench.
