We operate Bkc Exim Private Limited from our office at No. 49/3B Hindustan Park in the Gariahat area. It’s a nice neighborhood, though it gets very crowded during the festival seasons. The office is in a regular building, and it’s basically filled with stacks of files and a few computers that have seen better days. We deal with export and import stuff, which means a lot of waiting for people to call us back and filling out forms. It’s not the most exciting work, but it’s what we know how to do. The team is small, and we mostly just talk to each other about the day's tasks over tea. We don't have any fancy marketing materials or a dedicated salesperson. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years. The internet can be a bit temperamental, especially when it rains hard in Kolkata, so we’ve learned to be patient. We try to keep things moving as best as we can, but with shipping, there are always delays you can't control. We don't spend money on decor or expensive furniture; we just have what we need to get the job done properly. It’s a practical office for a practical business. If you walk by in the afternoon, you’ll probably hear the sound of the ceiling fan and someone typing away on a keyboard. It’s just us doing our thing.
