We are located on the ground floor at 1/91, Azad Garh in the Regent Park area of Kolkata. Being on the ground floor is actually quite handy because nobody has to climb any stairs to bring us their heavy bags of receipts and documents. Our office is a modest space that we have set up to be as functional as possible. We are a firm of chartered accountants, so most of our days are spent dealing with things like GST, income tax, and various company audits. It isn't a very large office, so things can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of files to go through at once. We have a small team of dedicated people who know their way around a spreadsheet and don't mind the long hours when the tax season hits us hard. The neighborhood around Regent Park is fairly residential, so it has a nice, local feel to it. We often see the same people walking by every day. We don't go in for anything fancy or polished in how we run things. We just provide a chair for our clients, offer them some water or tea, and get straight to looking at their accounts. Sometimes we have to deal with the typical city problems like noisy construction nearby or rainy day floods on the street, but we just keep working through it. It’s a grounded, practical place where we just try to get the numbers right for everyone who stops by.
