People know us around 84, Ashutosh Mukherjee Road because we’ve been here quite a while now. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular shop where we keep things moving every day. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud, and you can hear the horns all afternoon, but we just keep doing our work. The shelves are usually pretty full and sometimes it’s hard to find a specific spot for new things coming in. We handle a lot of different items and mostly just talk to the regulars who come by. It’s funny how you get used to the same faces. The floor is a bit worn down in places where people stand the most. We don't really have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything stays in order. Benud Behari Dutta is the name on the board outside, though it’s faded a bit from the rain and sun over the years. We spend most of our time opening boxes and checking what needs to go out. It gets a bit dusty in the corners if we don’t sweep every single morning. We don’t really do anything complicated here. It’s just about getting the work finished so we can go home and come back to do it again tomorrow. It’s a steady kind of life at this address. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the physical space where we sit and wait for the day to start.
