Bengal Rolling Shutters & Engineering Works

Bengal Rolling Shutters & Engineering Works is located at No.121 Netaji Subhas Road. We are way up on the 5th floor in room number 57. It’s an old building, the kind with thick walls and a lot of history. Getting up to the 5th floor can be a bit of a task, but that is where our office and small workspace are. We make and fix rolling shutters and do other engineering jobs. It’s heavy work, involving a lot of metal and noise. Netaji Subhas Road is one of those places that never seems to sleep. There are people everywhere and the traffic is a constant drone in the background. Downstairs, it’s all chaos, but up in room 57, we just focus on the blueprints or the repairs we have to finish. We don’t have a fancy website or a big marketing budget. Our name is on the door and people find us when they need a shutter that won't get stuck or some ironwork done right. We’ve been doing this for years, and the techniques haven’t changed much. It’s about being precise with the measurements and making sure the welding is solid. We aren't corporate people in suits. We are workers with grease on our clothes and calluses on our hands. We just do the work, collect our pay, and head home on the bus like everyone else in Kolkata.
