Basanti Engineering Works

Basanti Engineering Works is tucked away at 31/2 and 34/1 on 'Y' Road in Belgachia. Having two spots right near each other helps when we have a lot of stuff going on at once. Belgachia is a crowded area, and 'Y' Road has its own specific feel to it. It is not the easiest place to navigate if you are not from around here, but we like it just fine. Our workshops are filled with the usual engineering gear—lathes, drills, and benches that have seen a lot of use over the years. We aren't trying to be some big international firm. We are just a local engineering shop where the owner and the workers are often the same people. Most of the time, we are busy with manual work that requires a bit of patience and a steady hand. You can hear the clanging of metal from the street. It is a very human place. We know most of the people who live and work on this road. We don't have a mission statement or a fancy vision. We just want to make sure the parts we make are decent and that we can pay the bills at the end of the month. Sometimes we have a little chat with the neighbors over the fence while we are taking a break. It is a simple way to live and work in this part of the city.
