If you find yourself in Behala, specifically near Senhati Colony, you’ll likely pass by our workshop at P-123. Basanti Engineering Company has been rooted here for many years. It's a local spot where we do a lot of the heavy lifting and metal work. The colony is a quiet residential area, but our shop adds a bit of mechanical noise to the day. We have a handful of machines that stay running pretty much from morning till evening. It’s a dusty environment, but that’s the nature of engineering work. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. People just walk in through the main gate when they need something fixed or fabricated. Often, we are hunched over a workbench or checking measurements on a part. We know most of the neighbors, and they know us by the sound of our tools. Sometimes we get odd jobs from people in the colony, and other times we are working on larger batches for outside clients. It’s a simple operation with no big hierarchy. We drink a lot of tea while discussing how to solve a particular mechanical problem. The space is filled with scrap metal and old tools that still work perfectly fine. We aren't trying to expand into some massive corporation. We just like the work we do here in Behala and seeing a job through to the end. It's a steady life that suits us just fine.
