R. S. Overseas Kolkata

Our place is called R. S. Overseas Kolkata. You can find us at N/39 Jessore Road. That’s in the Kazipara area of Barasat. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city center, but we like it here. Jessore Road is almost always crowded with trucks and buses. You can hear the horns honking all day long from our window. We do a lot of overseas work from this building. It involves many hours of double-checking addresses and weight limits. We aren't some giant corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us here in Barasat. We try to stay on top of the shipping schedules. Sometimes things get delayed at the port, and we have to spend the whole day making calls to find out why. It’s a lot of practical stuff. We don’t use any fancy software for everything; sometimes a pen and a ledger work just fine. We’ve been at N/39 for quite a while. The walls have some scuff marks from moving boxes around. It’s a working office, not a showroom. We keep our heads down and focus on the tasks. When the day ends, we lock up and head out into the Barasat traffic. It’s just what we do. We don't try to make it sound like more than it is. It's just local people handling overseas trade. There is always plenty of work to keep us occupied.
