Bappaghosh

Bappaghosh is just me and a couple of others here in Salepur Kalitala. It is a busy spot in Baruipur, especially when the sun is up and the rickshaws are everywhere on the main road. We have been here for a while now, tucked away in this part of Kolkata. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow and the power goes out during the rains, but we just keep going with what we have. People walk past the door all day heading to the market or the station. The walls here could use a new coat of paint, but it is comfortable enough for the work we do. Mostly, it is just a quiet routine. I get in early, open the windows to let some air in, and start on the pile of things waiting on the desk. You can hear the temple bells from down the street in the evenings. It is not a fancy office with glass windows and air conditioning everywhere. It is just a regular place where things get done one day at a time. The address is 700144, so we are right in the heart of the local life here. Sometimes we sit outside for a tea break when it gets too stuffy inside. There is a small tea stall just a few steps away that makes the best ginger tea, and that is usually how the afternoon goes. It is simple, a bit dusty, and exactly how we like it.
