Balbir Engineering Works

Our workshop sits on the Santoshpur Main Road, right near the SD Public School. You can usually hear the sound of welding or grinding coming from our doors throughout the day. We do a lot of metal fabrication and fix-it jobs for the local community. It’s a small space, and things tend to get a bit crowded with all the projects we have going on at once. Sometimes the school bells are louder than our machines. We’ve been here for a good number of years now. Most of the work involves fixing gates, window grills, or parts for local vehicles. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the name painted on the wall near the entrance. My clothes usually have a few holes from sparks, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We aren't a big corporation, just a local shop where you can talk directly to the guy doing the welding. The traffic on the main road can be a bit much in the mornings when parents are dropping off their kids. We try to keep our scrap metal tucked away so it doesn't spill onto the sidewalk and get in anyone's way. It’s a lot of manual labor, but we like seeing a finished product leave the shop. It’s just a regular day here, nothing special, just keeping the machines running and the customers happy with the repairs.
