Aso Aviation Academy Private Limited is over on Dewan Bagan Lane. Our address is O-160/B, right in Kolkata 700024. This part of the city is always moving, and we are right in the middle of it. We set this up because aviation is something we’ve always been around. The office isn't like a pilot's cockpit; it’s just a ground-floor space with some tables and chairs. We have a few models of planes on the shelves and some old posters on the walls. Most of the time, we are talking to young people who want to work in the skies. We explain the training and what the jobs are actually like. It’s not all travel and uniforms; there is a lot of hard work involved. Our neighborhood is a bit crowded, so parking can be a nightmare. We tell people to take the bus if they can. We don't have any big fancy signs, just a small one by the door. We spend a lot of time on the phone with training centers and airlines. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. We aren't trying to be the biggest academy out there. We just want to give people a fair shot at getting into the industry. It’s a simple operation, run by people who care about the work. Sometimes the neighbor's cat wanders in and sits on the chairs. We don't have much in the way of filing systems, just folders stacked on the side table. It’s a bit of a mess.
