You can find Ashok Engineering & Construction at number 14 on Ganesh Chandra Avenue. It’s an older building, and our office has that distinct character you only get with time. We’ve been involved in building and engineering around here for quite a while. The desks are covered in blueprints and old site photos that have started to yellow at the edges. It’s a busy place with people coming and going from different construction sites throughout the day. We spend a lot of time talking to contractors and checking on how projects are moving along. Sometimes things go smoothly, and other times we’re dealing with delays or rain, which is just part of the job. We aren't a big, flashy firm with glass walls. Our space is functional and maybe a little cramped when the whole crew is back from the field. We drink a lot of tea while going over plans and making sure the numbers add up. It’s hard work, but we like seeing things get built from the ground up. Most of the people working here have been in construction for their whole lives, so we’ve seen just about everything. We just keep our heads down and focus on getting the next project finished. It’s a straightforward business built on knowing how to get things done on Ganesh Chandra Avenue. We have been here for years and plan to stay.
